 The 2019 Formula One season is quickly approaching and even though the teams wont be taking to the track until late March, it is never too early to start making predictions.

After an impressive 2018 season, Mercedes look set to be the team to beat again this year. Lewis Hamilton looks primed to win his sixth world championship, and with the team having retained the services of Valtteri Bottas, they look to be the strongest pairing on the grid. Red Bull, however, will be looking to challenge Mercedes this season. With the addition of Honda engines to their cars, they look to be the dark horses of the championship. Max Verstappen will be looking to build on his impressive performances from last season and challenge Hamilton for the championship. McLaren will also be looking to make a return to the top of the standings. With the signing of Carlos Sainz, they look set to be strong this season. They have also secured the services of the highly rated Lando Norris, and will be looking for both drivers to challenge for podiums. In addition, there are a number of exciting rookies to watch out for. George Russell and Alexander Albon will both be making their debuts this season, and both have the potential to surprise a few people. It promises to be an exciting season, and with the new regulations and the addition of new teams, it is difficult to predict who will come out on top. However, one thing is for sure, the 2019 Formula One season is sure to be full of surprises.
